Love at First Sight: Serena & Lily's Fall Collection
If You Haven't Seen It, You Should. Serena & Lily recently unveiled their fall collection, and all of us at bluGloss are walking around starry-eyed and giggling: fab upholstered furniture (as always, in a range of beautiful prints and fabrics); gorgeous lighting; and wallpaper that's dreamy. Whether you’re in the market for a total interior makeover, or just looking for a few key pieces to update your home -- this collection is definitely worth checking out.
Visualize An Ensemble. What better way to celebrate Serena & Lily’s fall collection then by creating a bluBoard with it? The bedroom bluBoard below highlights how easy it is to mix and match S&L's prints, and to incorporate custom-looking statement pieces. The vibe is cool, calm and collected -- like the very stylish Serena and Lily themselves!
Now that you've seen how these pieces coordinate, get to know each item a little better. Read on for more scoop.
GIve me Serena & Lily’s Palmetto design or give me death; so glam, so chic, so good! The wallpaper is available in five color combinations and my favorite -- Stone Blush -- is also available as bedding. The wallpaper works in a variety of rooms (imagine: nursery, bedroom, dining room, office) and with a number of styles (Hollywood Glam, Transitional Chic, Global Fusion, etc.).
The Capiz Scalloped Chandelier is pure perfection! The subtle use of gold in the scalloped design makes this piece as timeless as it is elegant.
An end-of-the-bed bench is a lovely way to add extra seating, and S&L’s Bruno Bench couldn’t be more perfect. Available in an array of different fabrics, I chose Stormy Grey Suede to bring some texture and warmth to the room. I'd love to use this bench in an entry or a living room.
The Kent Chair is a classic club chair with deep plush seating and a whole lot of versatility. In true S&L fashion, the Kent Chair is customizable with a huge assortment of fabrics, including this glorious Fog Spade print (which I think is the perfect print to compliment S&L’s Palmetto Wallpaper in Stone/Blush).
The Aubrey Shelf is darling. The diamond lattice pattern makes this bookcase a statement piece, and the aqua finish is great way to add color to a room without overpowering it.
Want the look of luxury without breaking the bank? You can't go wrong with an upholstered bed -- ever. Serena & Lily’s Claremont Tufted Bed is sophisticated, simple and of course, completely customizable with your choice of fabric. I wanted to create a feminine bedroom and so opted for the Blushed Washed Linen.
This is the throw I want to curl up with on a cold night. Made in a family-run mill in Spain, the plush Amethyst Mohair Throw is the ideal companion for any bedroom or family room.
This classic Parsons-inspired side table in a wonderfully glossy white lacquer finish is a must-have piece. The Atelier Side Table can be used as a nightstand or group a few together to create a coffee table.
When mixing patterns and prints, I think it's key to incorporate a few neutral pieces to avoid overstimulating the eye and to help pull everything together. Serena & Lily’s Knit Linen Pillow Cover is a beautifully versatile piece that does just that, while also adding texture to the room.
Serena & Lily’s Arcadia Console is as effortlessly chic as it gets. It's a unique piece that works with many vibes and can serve a variety of needs. Bar? Check! Media console? Check! Hallway stand? Check!
Serena and Lily’s Diamond Quilt in muted tones is a timeless print and a perfect fabric to use when mixing-and-matching; it's not so busy that it will overwhelm the space or another print.
Glossers, I'm not gonna lie -- I'm a long-time fan of Serena & Lily. But this new collection is something special. Fresh and bright and interesting; Serena & Lily knocked it out of the park. Thank you S&L!
