12 Days of Christmas, Day 12 – Giving Back
In the spirit of the season, we are dedicating this blog post to helping those less fortunate by sharing some of our favorite philanthropic organizations. We hope you’re moved to do what feels right to help these (or other!) similarly-minded groups.
“There is nothing more important than a good, safe, secure home.” - Rosalynn Carter
Let’s make sure everyone has access to a warm bed at night:
Habitat for Humanity is helping to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
National Coalition for the Homeless is working to prevent and end homelessness while ensuring the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness are met and their civil rights protected.
“There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.“ - Nelson Mandela
Let’s take care of our children:
Boys & Girls Club of America is working to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Ronald McDonald House Charities is creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children.
FitKids is working to promote a healthy active lifestyle among children in underserved communities through high quality youth fitness programs and nutrition tips.
Let's ensure no one goes hungry:
Feeding America is working to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engaging our country in the fight to end hunger.
And, let's make sure all children experience the joy of the season:
Toys for Tots collects new toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
